Welcome! The Regional District of Kootenay Boundary held virtual town hall meetings on Zoom between January 25 and March 9, 2021 to talk to residents about our proposed 2021 Budget and 2021–2025 Five-Year Financial Plan. Our directors and staff presented information about your local government, and participants asked questions and commented about programs and services, how we operate and what your tax dollars fund.

If you missed the town halls, you can view our presentations and video recordings posted on this page. PLEASE PASTE THE ZOOM VIDEO LINK INTO YOUR BROWSER TO VIEW AND OPEN THE VIDEOS THAT ARE NOT EMBEDDED. Unfortunately, we are not able to embed a video directly for most of the recordings made through Zoom.

You can leave feedback/ask questions through our Q and A/Comment tool, engage in discussion with staff and fellow residents on our Forum and sign up to receive updates about outcomes of our 2021 town halls.

All presentations and polling results will be posted here after each town hall meeting is completed. And, a final town hall meeting report will be posted once the whole process wraps up in early spring 2021.

Thanks for participating!

What are you planning for Broadacres

Heather Macleod asked 7 months ago

Good day, staff will address this at the town hall tonight (March 4 at 6pm) for Area D. In the meantime, what we can say is that following an investigation by our Bylaw Enforcement Officer, the owner is in compliance with all existing RDKB bylaws. The applicable bylaw can be viewed here: https://rdkb.com/Portals/0/Administration/Documents/Bylaws/Bylaw1675-AreaDRuralGFZoning.pdf?ver=2020-10-16-161515-590

Can you advise where I can find Area e documents for tonight's town hall. Thank you

    Jricioppo asked 7 months ago

Good day, the Area E town hall is not tonight, but on Monday, March 8 at 6pm, with a second one specifically for Big White on Tuesday, March 9 at 6pm.

Documents for tonight's town hall for Area D are available for download and viewing on this page.

We will have budget documents ready for downloading for Area E town halls shortly. All of our budgets are being developed in conjunction with each town hall so we have the latest information available, and our Finance staff are working feverishly to complete those in advance.

A link inviting you to download those documents will be in a reminder email going out in advance of each virtual town hall.

    Thanks.
