Join presenters Stephanie Strachan, Environmental Monitoring Scientist at ECCC (Federal) and Jolene Raggett, Environmental Impact Assessment Biologist at ECCS (Provincial) to hear about the how, when and why it's important to monitor aquatic life in our waterways.

Part 2 of the RDKB Riparian Areas discussion. Fisheries Biologist Natasha Lukey, Okanagan Nation Alliance, focuses on the aquatic components of riparian areas and protection and the organisms that rely on this land/water interaction; while Eric Hegerat, Fisheries Biologist from FLNRORD, speaks to the local Boundary region fisheries and aquatic invasive species.

Listen to two of our local biologists, Jenny Coleshill and Barb Stewart, share with us their years of experience working to protect our riparian areas, talk about what a riparian area is, why it is important and how can you tell if it’s healthy. Followed by Lee Hesketh, Program Manager for FRISP, BC Cattlemen's Association, sharing his decades of experience working to protect riparian areas and resource management, while supporting the agricultural community. Throughout the presentation, we will look at different protection areas, styles and lessons learned while doing this important work.
