South Kootenay Green Link Active Transportation Plan Online Survey

The Regional District of Kootenay Boundary (RDKB) has secured a grant of $50,000 with matching funds from BC's Active Transportation Network Planning program to develop an actionable roadmap for providing an active transportation link between Rossland to Fruitvale.

The South Kootenay Green Link Active Transportation Plan (ATP) aims to create a cohesive, accessible, multi-use active transportation connection, offering a viable alternative to cars for commuting and recreational purposes. By connecting Rossland, Warfield, Trail, Montrose, Fruitvale and Electoral Areas A and B, the project seeks to enhance recreational opportunities, support local businesses, and promote tourism, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions and contributing to a healthier lifestyle for residents. The intention of this project is to create an active transportation connection that will be comfortable, convenient, attractive, and safe for everyone, encouraging more residents to embrace active transportation and leading to a healthier, more environmentally conscious community.

Join the conversation and help shape the future of active transportation in South Kootenay! Your input and ideas are vital for developing a plan that meets the needs of our diverse community.

The survey should take approximately 15 minutes, and all responses will be kept confidential and anonymous. The survey will be open until 11:59pm on July 09, 2023. Thank you for your time and participation! Let's get started.
