RDKB SWMP Update – Survey 1

RDKB’s Solid Waste Management Plan Update - Survey 1 – Current Practices and Ideas for the Future.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and ideas on updates to the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary’s (RDKB) Solid Waste Management Plan. The SWMP Update Survey #1 is intended to provide an easy opportunity for input from those living in the region, and can also be used by businesses, non-profits, and other interested parties.

Plan for 10-15 minutes for survey completion. All those who complete the survey will be entered into a prize draw to win a $50 Everything Gift Card, which can be used across hundreds of Canadian retailers. Two winners will be drawn.  Questions requiring answers (marked with an asterisk) have been kept to a minimum to ensure respondents can focus on questions relevant to their needs and priorities.

Please skim through the Technical Memorandum 1 (TM1) summary before providing input (helpful but not necessary). The full TM1 includes more detailed information about solid waste management plans (SWMPs), regional data, an overview of RDKB services and facilities, and progress on the policies/strategies from the 2005 SWMP.

This survey has a closing date of April 5th, 2026 at midnight.  Thank you again for taking the time to complete this survey.
