"Trails for everyone, but not every trail for everyone."

Welcome!

Thanks to all Boundary trail users, trail associations, other stakeholders and anyone affected by, benefitting from, or interested in the use and future of trails in the Boundary who complete our survey so we can decide whether to develop a Boundary Recreational Trails Master Plan (BRTMP). The plan would apply to electoral areas D/Rural Grand Forks and E/West Boundary as well as the municipalities of Midway, Greenwood, and Grand Forks.

The RDKB is working with our consultant, Cascade Environmental Resource Group, to investigate, research, and consult with the public.

Surveys will reveal local knowledge on inventory, types of trails, locations and potential opportunities. They will inform us about trail use demographics, identify existing and potential future areas of interest, and potential opportunities and constraints.

The Boundary Trails Master Plan project has four phases. We have completed Phase 1 - Analysis and Review in 2018 (see Boundary Recreational Trails Master Plan in Project Documents on this page to view the full report). This survey is part of Phase 2 - Public & Stakeholder Engagement. Phase 2 will be completed once we report back on survey results. See Project Phases on this page for more information.

Boundary Trails

This map provides an overview of management units and recreational trails in the Boundary. Also refer to our detailed Management Units Map in the Project Documents section of the main project page. This map is intended as a support tool to the survey, and survey responses during this Phase 2 - Community & Stakeholder Engagement will be incorporated into Phase 3 – Key Findings, Strategic Directions and Recommendations.

Trails are shown as pink lines on the map, and recreational management units are outlined in orange. If you click on an area the name of the management unit will show. In addition, the coloured pins show applicable images of each management unit.

Thank you for participating!
