Invasive species management is important to protect the biodiversity and eco system health in our region. For this reason I strongly support CKISS' application to the ReDi grant in order to coordinate community weed pull events. These events are a fun way to educate residents on what can be done to stop the spread of invasive species. Volunteers get to roll up their sleeves and make a tangible difference in their community.

I strongly support the Extended Hour Childcare application from the Skills Centre. It’s been a critically needed service for too many years. My family needed it 40 years ago.

I strongly support the Extended Hour Childcare application from the Skills Centre. My husband work shift work at Teck and I work at the hospital, so it will be really great to have a childcare with extended hour. It’s a critically needed service. Thank you

Please support the application from the Skills Centre for extended hour childcare. The surrounding communities are in critical need of this service as there currently is a serious lack in available daycare spaces, particularly those to meet the needs of the many shift workers who work here.

I strongly support the funding request for the extended hour childcare center. It is sorely needed for the families of shift workers with young children.

Please support the funding request for start-up and training for the Tadanac Child Care Center, it will benefit all of these areas. It will, more importantly, help our single parents who are trying to support their families but are on 3 year waiting lists for child care, and those who are required to work different shifts.

I would strongly support the Extended Hour Childcare application from the Skills Centre, and being an early childhood educator for 38 years, I believe that every child and family should have access to high quality affordable childcare. The waitlists for childcare are not acceptable and this childcare centre would be able to accommodate a number of young children in our community that require care. The support for our major employer, Teck, with extended hours will be invaluable. Thank you.

Please support the removal of any barriers to the development of an extended hour childcare facility. Public childcare is such a need in this area and is almost non existence outside regular 9-5 hours. Desperately needed for a young workforce (hospital staff in particular! )

The extended Childcare project is so needed for our community to support locally employed workers & employers. Please help them get a new Centre set up in Tadanac!

Since being a parent 40+ years ago, as well as working with the local labour market during my employment at the Skills Centre, I have been actively lobbying for additional childcare spaces in our region to support the families working unusual hours. In the last 4 years, my firm, of Bock and Assoc. has worked with local organizations who drive our economy; Teck, IHA, Celgar, SD and the many small business owners in hospitality and retail - all our feedback and needs assessment data points directly to this critical need for Extended Hour Childcare. Please support this initiative and show families you support them. Thank you. Sue

The request from the Trail and District Senior Citizens’ Villa Society is so important to the low income seniors living in that housing complex. They deserve the improved housing conditions that will be made possible by funding for renovations from the ReDi envelope

The Extended Hour Childcare project is an essential service for families and employers in an economy and workforce with so much shift work and other extended hour employment. Please support their ‘ask’ for operational start-up support
