The RDKB is delighted to announce that our Board of Directors adopted our first-ever Accessibility Plan (see right, under Documents). The plan identifies barriers to accessibility and inclusivity and recommends possible remedies. We encourage everyone to take a look.

The RDKB thanks everyone who provided feedback on accessibility and inclusivity in our region. Special thanks to our Accessibility Committee, who guided the development of this plan.

The Regional District of Kootenay Boundary is committed to making our spaces and facilities more accessible and inclusive. We will continue to work to improve our spaces for all to access, use and enjoy.

Please continue to visit this site on updates to our plan, including progress, evaluation and monitoring.

  • The RDKB is developing an Accessibility Plan. The plan will identify accessibility and inclusivity barriers people experience when using RDKB buildings or public spaces, accessing services and programs, receiving communication and information, and applying for employment.

A successful plan needs input from community members. Please take a few minutes to complete the following survey. The information gathered will play an important role in developing the Accessibility Plan.
